Lemur Beads^TM by Singing Lemur^TM Jewelry are hand made from Italian Glass by Rollande Krandall in a stone cottage near Mineral Point, Wisconsin. This process involves melting and manipulating glass in the flame from an oxygen/propane torch. Historically this kind of torch is called a "lamp." Hence, the making of small glass objects in a torch flame is called "lampworking."

All Lemur Beads are annealed for strength, so they should hold up to normal wear and tear.
